Expert Verdict

RFID-powered automation that connects operators, jobs, and machines without manual data entry.

Harmoni's most distinctive capability is its long-range RFID integration — the terminal automatically detects which operator is at which machine, which job they're running, and loads the correct program revision, all without manual input. This automation of operator time tracking and error-prone program loading is genuinely unique.

Harmoni is a CNC machine shop automation and monitoring tool, not a condition monitoring platform. No vibration or power monitoring. Predictive maintenance is limited to scheduled PM. Hardware terminals are purchased — a tangible advantage for capital-oriented buyers.

The Bottom Line: Harmoni is the most compelling platform for CNC job shops wanting to automate operator time tracking, program loading, and job data collection in a single hardware terminal. Not suitable where condition monitoring is a requirement.
Target Market

Who is Harmoni built for?

Platform fit rated by sector and use case.

exceptional

CNC Shops with Operator Data Entry Problems

RFID automation eliminates the operator time tracking burden that plagues shop floor data quality in ERP systems.

Multi-Perspective Analysis

Three Lenses. One Truth.

Evaluated from the frontline technician, plant manager, and operations director perspective.

🔧
Maintenance Technician

Operational automation leader.

Maintenance-side value is in OEE visibility and scheduled PM. RFID automation creates data quality that makes maintenance decisions more reliable.

Strengths
  • Automated data collection eliminates manual error
  • Real-time machine state visibility
  • Maintenance alert and work request communication built in
Limitations
  • No vibration or power monitoring
  • Scheduled PM only; no sensor-based prediction
  • CNC-only limitation
📊
Plant Manager

Labor data accuracy you can trust.

Reliable job costing, labor efficiency data, and OEE from one terminal per machine.

Strengths
  • Eliminates ERP time entry inaccuracy
  • Links operator performance to machine performance
  • High-intensity indicator lights display OEE plant-wide
Limitations
  • No condition monitoring data
  • Limited to CNC shops
  • Less OEE analytical depth than dedicated OEE platforms
🏭
Operations Director

Owned hardware; strong automation ROI.

Purchased hardware terminals create a CAPEX-eligible asset. Automation ROI from eliminating wrong-program events has measurable impact on scrap costs.

Strengths
  • Purchasable hardware for CAPEX treatment
  • Clear ROI from scrap reduction and labor accuracy
  • ERP integration creates one source of truth
Limitations
  • No condition monitoring capability
  • Narrow market fit (CNC shops only)
  • Pricing not publicly disclosed
